ZTL in Italy: every city we hold, and how access works

Italian limited-traffic zones are nothing like the French system: there is no sticker to buy. Access is granted by the comune, and cameras at the entrances photograph every plate that crosses.

4 cities in Italy, 253 published boundaries and 451 enforcement cameras.

Every boundary is the issuing authority's own published geometry, under a licence we checked one dataset at a time. Snapshot 2026-08-02.

Zone types

Hours are not published in these datasets. No Italian authority publishes ZTL operating hours in its open data, so we can tell you a zone is there but never that you will be fined at a given moment. Check the sign at the gate.
